Where else have you seen these pictures?

So I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but my stereoscope was quite poorly made, and the reel itself came damaged. On top of that, when I put the reel in and started flipping through the photos, after five flips, the stereoscope mechanism shattered. It seems odd to me since that was packed pretty tightly and in its own box, but I'll have to ask for a replacement. Sigh.

dmikester, you are not the first person to have reported this problem. I saw someone else have the same issue in the comments on the Kickstarter page.

You definitely have to make sure the reel is pressed in and firmly seated.

Having used many a View-Master in my youth, I was definitely using it correctly. The reel itself was badly dented in one part and I had a feeling that it might get caught as I was flipping through, but I didn't expect the whole thing to shatter as I was pulling the lever.

As old as I am, I never used a view master. My parents didn’t think it was a good use of the money. Another puzzle for me to figure out. 🤡

View Masters were the best. Did you ever see the Talking View Master? A huge thing! In my youth that particular model did not exist, and my imagination did the job quite well. View Masters instilled in me a love of stereoscopic photography that persists to this day. For those who share that interest, may I suggest you look here: www.londonstereo.com/

I had also issue with the Stereoscope and first I thought it was broken... Before realising the reel must be fully engaged in the stereo; just a very little piece of it must be out.
My son really enjoyed this cool gadget and he's the one who deciphered it. I have to say, he's the Wilson's movies self-appointed expert!

The reel has a 'front' and 'back' (without, I believe, any indication which is which), I started to mangle mine by putting it in reverse... try turning it around and it might help some.
So, they're the same images as in the Jinx Cartoons magazine but they're in black and white. Perhaps a spot the difference?

Only don't know yet how to continue after that...
