Thanks Todd. I actually just worked out 2 of those four and feel dumb . Having trouble on: 18D--is it soar? and 5D--is it Return as in Return for Oz?

18D - I suppose I should have said it's a foul if you do it in Basketball. 5D - Wrong Dorothy..

Theoretically, do we even need to put it into the grid? Can't we solve the message without figuring out where the words would go?

Theoretically, do we even need to put it into the grid? Can't we solve the message without figuring out where the words would go? I suppose that depends on how confident you want to be that you have the right answers. You could certainly get the gist of it.

So I got the gist of this to move forward as I was catching up. I've been making a mixed media project out of all of these c&c issues and I could use some help as I know I have some wrong words (and admittedly a couple blanks). Anyone willing to grade my complete message?

So in case anyone was interested - this is a sampling of my "mixed media project" on which I've been working in between issues. Ever the trickster, I am torn between burying this book or leaving to an unsuspecting family member. I wasn't really sure what I wanted this to be when I first started; Volume 1 is a bit rusty but I have found my legs for Volume 2 and am eager to see how this turns out. I'm already foreseeing a second copy as more ideas flash through my mind! This scene highlights the alley in which Victoria Bachman meets and defeats a nasty hooligan. All of the issues puzzles are highlighted somewhere on the page. I'd love to see what others are doing with their back issues! (this post may need moved - feel free!) Attachments:

Ok... i think I've had too much thera-flu to do this... I have an extra 3 letter word? Argh. Also cannot for the life of me get 13-A or 32-A and no idea about 8-D (unless 6 letter word starting with S & ending with Y) or 29-D. If my calculations are correct my missing 4 answers will be:: one 7 letter word, one 6, one 4 and 1 2 letter... and i need see which 3 letter word should be 2 letters. Anyone?

I think I'm ready to admit that I need help on this one. I've got 4 clues that don't make sense in context. If I could maybe have a small hint for starting to fill in the grid, I might be able to figure them out.

Alright, I've managed to get most of the message, but I feel like I'm missing a few key answers. Could I have some help with 15D 32D 5D 32A and 13A I've gotten that it pertains to something a long time ago a great distance from here, but that's a lot to work with when you're not putting things into the grid. please and thank you! EDIT: I have enough of an idea that I was able to move on and follow the instructions, I just don't want to leave a trail of half-solved puzzles in my wake as I move on

Todd sent me a PM with the relation for which answers go where in the puzzle and I was able to work it out. seeing that clue 15D corresponded to 30D on the puzzle was nudge I needed Is it ever explained why this puzzle was laid out this way?
