Tree spacing also represents the first 6 digits of a VISA credit card from Honduras. Hmmm?

Really? Because I thought it was more about seeing...or rather not seeing
the answer Not the first part. Oh. Duh. You're right.

The trees look like a barcode but I dont know how to decode that Don't believe everything you read. Particularly on message boards. There are a LOT of potential barcodes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BarcodeOne thing to note is that barcodes are generally like fixed-width fonts. All the characters are exactly the same width, including their whitespace. So the widths of the trees and gaps would be important. The waviness of the trees/gaps would make scanning problematic. Also, barcodes tend to have more than two widths of bars (white and black) and as mentioned, the widths are constant. So the minimum width is x, and then you'd have exact multiples of that width in the bars and gaps. Looking at the fifth group of trees at the top vs at the bottom indicates widely varying widths. There's a simpler possibility. And if it seems like it isn't making sense, remember, when in Rome... keep going.

This puzzle uses two separate alphabets. For the first part, don't forget to dot your Is and cross your Ts before you dash off an answer. For the second part, you might feel blindsided when you finally see the answer.

And I can tell you the first part is probably not morse code Now I gotta wait 24 hours I'd reconsider that conclusion. If you're American, ethnocentrism may have sabotaged you. I tried the word I got (whether I thought it was a word or not). Maybe I did it incorrectly. Is it light tree for dot dark for dash? E: AH, it is, it just isn't using the version of the code I know. Why do you have to wait 24 hours? I thought that was the lock-out, I guess not!

This new crossed-fingers day lock is infuriating. I was convinced that I had a word that fit but I'm locked out again!
Not sure where to even start with the sundial.

And I can tell you the first part is probably not morse code Now I gotta wait 24 hours I think we are on the same page and as we are both locked out for now. However I feel we are on the right track after deciphering the second word. I will give it another shot!

unlocking all of the missives opens up a "Fingers Crossed" daytime lock. Thanks. I didn't think to check the day locks. I managed to Resolve the puzzle and Shout it out.
