As I recall, the title of the map has a long I, so it's The Hide. Which is a pun, I assume, for a map made on an animal hide. Otherwise, I agree that it seems like an awful lot of work for what we get from it. Fortunately, the same cipher is also used on the Wheel of Exposition, as I like to call it, making it feel like there is more of a payoff for the code, if not the map. The @ on the map specifically feels like it should be significant. I have the triangle with squiggly as a W... So it would be "The Wide". W is the triangle with the backwards S. H is the triangle with the Z. It's subtle, but it's sharp corners vs. rounded corners.
