The Gallant, just be grateful you didn't spring for the Diamond Bespoke experience on the Kickstarter. That's another $200 just to have your name written on the items in a couple places. Like the Genii, I'm trying to reserve judgement until we have everything in hand, but I've also pretty much learned that the Curator's descriptions have a habit of always overselling the product. At this point, if a mailing was described as containing a document, an artifact, AND a bespoke personalized relic, I wouldn't be surprised to find a single piece of paper in the mailing.

I think you will receive a three-dimensional hold-it-in-your-hands relic as your second to last mailing. My last three mailings should theoretically be the statue, the newspaper, and the reveal. If the only relic I receive is the statue I will be upset. I'm with The Genii here. Best to reserve such resolutions until the experience has run its course, until then I prefer the optimistic outlook. Besides, creators usually learn a lot from their first campaign, so I have high hopes for possible future crowdfunded Experiences. I'm fairly optimistic and I feel I've been rather understanding of the whole thing. The erratic mailing does exacerbate any perceived issues though. I'm sure MPC is feeling the full agony of success, I doubt they've ever had so many simultaneous orders before. I'd probably back them again I'd just wait until the first rush had gotten their mailings before submitting my claim. I think you will receive a three-dimensional hold-it-in-your-hands relic as your second to last mailing. I was just notified that mailing 5 of 7, including the reveal was shipped out. That would probably match the items you all just received. The reliquary sketches looked really compelling. That would be really cool. Do you think it is possible that they will send out such an item along with the stone statue at the end? Have both items in the crate? I will post when my wife receives her next shipment. Regards, the Gallant Edit:forgot closing again I mean it's not impossible, and I feel the wording of the KS has promised me an item of the size and or nature, but at this point who knows.

Past experiences have included items (usually paper) in the crate.

Or the extra money for the Cursed Heritage experience. I filled out a fairly detailed profile, but as yet have not seen anything that would justify the added expense. The little notes from SP sometimes have my name on them, and my name appeared on the photo of the doomed expedition. I had assumed that the slightly more ornate artifact was the bone amulet.

I'm definitely glad I didn't spring for the above platinum prices. professor, the mailing that matched up with the amulet seemed to fit "a smaller artifact" description and timeline. Not sure though. I'm trying to withhold judgement. We'll see I guess the Gallant

Why can this guy not seem to keep a commitment? I ordered the retail version of Century Beast on March 9th. There was a 1 month lead time for the experience and my first shipment was supposed to be sent around 4/9/2016. I sent him an email said the person I was giving the gift to has a shortish attention span and I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have the long delays that plagued the KS campaign. He told me that the first mailing just cam back from the printers and would be mailed out last week. Here it is Tuesday of the following week and nothing has been mailed yet.
I really want to participate in this but to be honest for a $400 investment I expect things to be mailed on time or communicated when they aren't. If he doesn't send it by the end of this week I'm going to cancel. Its a shame because I'm really excited by the premise and probably would have ordered several times from them.

I agree! I'm very excited to have this sent, and have been very lucky with awesome communication from the Curator, but the delays are frustrating. My hopes are still high & if it turns out as awesome as I hope, I will definitely be ordering more! This is for my husband and father in law, who's I'll- so I'm hoping it gives them something to be excited about! I'll post info on my retail customer experience as it occurs!

Just noticed the reliquary sketch sheet shown on the preceding page and went back and looked at some photos from the Kickstarter page. The Beloved Patron artifact, of which apparently only a maximum of 5 will be made (can't recall how many people actually pledged at that level) looks like, from a photo on the Kickstarter page, one of the reliquary items shown on the page of sketches.

Those sketches were great! Does the Beloved Patron artifact tie into the story or will it be entirely unrelated? By the way, there are seven Beloved Patron backers; nine pledges at that level were available in total.

It was a crazy amount of money to spend. While I've been pleased with almost everything so far, the fact that I paid more but wasn't included in the extra for the "Expedition" level was disappointing. Hoping that with the addition of the coloring book and the bonus issue of C&C, "Century Beast" will see more cohesive and enjoyable.

Although I would say that given the quality of the expedition photo, the fact that it is not included in the retail Experience and that the Cursed Heritage and Beloved Patron pledge levels were mutually exclusive, the Beloved Patron level was probably the more rewarding option in the long run. Once again, I'm feeling curious. Can I bother you for a peek at the artifact?

Ah, I meant the Beloved Patron artifact - once you have it. I misread your post - I thought you had already received it.

I'll be happy to post a photo when it arrives. The Curator just sent me an email asking to confirm my mailing address, so they must be getting close.

Someone please tell me that I'm not crazy: the MPC's website now lists "The Century Beast" for $299. Wasn't it only recently priced at $399? They reduced the price quite recently - helenahandbasket opened a discussion about it a few days ago. They hinted at it on twitter to someone bemoaning the high price point, but did not advertise it beyond that. So, you are not crazy, but I cannot guarantee that the Company are not engaging in some casual gaslighting there.
